King Charles and Camilla to visit Channel Islands

 King Charles III and Queen Camilla are set to visit the Channel Islands next month, marking the first time a British monarch has visited Jersey since 2005. The visit on July 15 will be a significant event, highlighting the special relationship between the Crown and the islands.

The King and Queen will visit Jersey on July 15 and Guernsey on July 16.

The visit will be the first time a British monarch has visited Jersey since 2005, when Queen Elizabeth II came to the island.

The couple will attend a special sitting of the States of Deliberation and ancient ceremony of homage to the monarch on Guernsey.

They will also head to the Crown Pier to learn about the island’s heritage and traditions, biodiversity initiatives, local food, and the work to promote the language of Guernesiais (Guernsey French).
